The Portuguese striker will now miss his country's match in the Nations League against Sweden on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old, who also plays for Italian side Juventus, is said to be "doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation."

Ronaldo posted a picture of himself on Instagram on Monday, showing it sitting around a long dinner table with fellow Portuguese team members.

However, no further positive tests were reported in the team prior to the Sweden match.

He added, "The match (against Sweden), which is counted for the qualifying stage for the Nations League, is scheduled for Wednesday, 19:45, in Al Valadi."

Ronaldo has played in both matches for Portugal so far during the international break.

The striker started against Spain in Lisbon, where he emerged late in the second half with a goalless draw, then played the entire A3 Nations League match against France in Saint-Denis on Sunday.

Ronaldo has scored in every one of his league matches with Juventus this season, including a double in a 2--2 draw against Roma on 27 September.

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner has played for Real Madrid and Manchester United.
